everlook photography > Finding the way to Haifoss is worthwhile for a scene like this. Follow route 32 past the power station and there will be a small blue sign pointing to Haifoss. Follow this rough gravel road all the way along the power lines for about 20 minutes until a small path which is unsigned leads to the left.

everlook photography > Hengifoss sits atop an impressively carved out canyon. It takes about 1-2 hours to get to this point. There are another set of falls halfway up (Lilatnefoss) which are not quite as beautiful as this. To get here, follow route 930 or 931 out from Egilsstadir past a bridge at the lake's southern end.
